Customer’s FAQs

All Trades has an introductory packet available for all new customers that will answer most of your questions. We also have field representatives that would be happy to come by your business and explain our services. Furthermore, any of our inside staff is qualified to answer your questions or start your application for services. Here are some answers to the more commonly asked questions.

How do I use your service? Once you have completed a credit application and signed a service agreement we can begin sending employees to you. Simply call our office and one of our staff will obtain the necessary information. We also send out via mail, fax or email an information packet explaining our service in detail to all new customers.

Do I need an account? Yes, you will need to set up an account. That process requires just a few minutes and usually we can provide workers the next day and many times the same day.

Do you service homeowners or private individuals? No. We can only service legal business entities.

If I get an employee I really like from All Trades, can I hire him? Yes, but we do require that your company uses our employee for at least 360 hours through us. This allows us to recover our recruiting, advertising and administrative costs.

Can I open an account if I am a start up company? Usually. However, depending on your credit we may need a deposit or payment in advance. We will work with you to the best of our ability.
Due to cash flow problems my company’s credit is not real good. Can I still open an account? Probably. However, we may need a deposit, collateral or payment in advance.

What are the restrictions on All Trades employees? The restrictions are listed in our service agreement. Most of the restrictions are to ensure the safety of our employee(s). The restrictions may be waived in writing if our Safety & Risk Manager is satisfied that the proper safeguards are in place and our employee has the skill, training, and equipment to do the job safely. Typical restrictions include working above 11 feet, working below 3 feet, operating heavy equipment, operating table saws and certain other power tools and equipment, driving vehicles or equipment, handling cash, jewelry or other valuables.

Do you accept credit or debit card payments? No.

How will I be billed? How do I pay? All Trades invoices on a weekly basis and offers a 1.5% discount for invoices paid within ten days of the invoice date.

How do the employees that I use get paid? Every All Trades employee will have a time card for you or your supervisor(s) to fill out and sign. We pay the employees based on those time slips. We can also arrange for group time slips or for one of your company representatives to phone, fax or email their time to our office.

How much notice do I need to give All Trades in order to get an employee? Frequently, we can fill the order if it is called in early in the morning. However, we prefer requests for laborers to be called in the evening before and several days for skilled workers. The more time we have the more selective we can be in choosing the right worker for you.

Is there a limit on the number of employees I can order? Typically no, but your credit rating will affect the number.

Am I required to sign a contract? The contract is in the form of the service agreement.

How do I keep track of the hours for your employees? Each employee will present a time card to you or your supervisor(s). Group times cards may be used as well.

What do I do if I do not like a worker that All Trades sends to me? Notify the office immediately.

Can your employees work weekends? Yes, but we leave that up to our employees. If requested in advance we can make that a condition of the assignment.

Can I order workers on the weekend? Yes. Although our offices are closed on the weekends we monitor our phones. Also, you may place an order for workers for the weekend anytime during the week.

What are your office hours? Every office is open from 6 am until 6pm Monday through Friday. We are closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Many workers are willing and available to work those days however.
